Single Stand Skinpass Mill for Carbon Steel
Single Stand coil to coil or in-line skinpass are designed in four high or two high mode to improve geometrical, metallurgical and mechanical characteristic, suppress yield point area or impart specific roughness value on strip surface. Available features include Automatic Flatness Control (AFC); Positive and Negative roll bending, Quick work roll changing system.
Overview
Housings of machined cast steel in columnar design attached to bed plates by bolting. Bed plates are anchored to the foundation and grouted into place. Front & Rear housings are joint together by heavy welded spreaders
Roll Gap Adjustment is made by two hydraulic cylinders mounted on the bottom of the housing equipped with High accuracy linear Encoder to precisely control roll position.
Work Rolls in alloyed cast or forged steel with grease or air oil lubrication for taper roller bearings.
Back Up rolls in alloyed forged steel, with grease or air oil lubrication
Mae West Bending Blocks equipped with double acting hydraulic cylinders for applying positive and negative roll bending to the necks of work rolls
Pass line adjustment is made with step and/or wedge arrangements. Steps provide incremental adjustment and wedges provide fine adjustment within all required range. Pass line adjustment is operated by hydraulic cylinders.
